Four Purdue football players accused of sexual assault

"Four Purdue football players are accused of sexual assault after two female Purdue University students came forward, reports the Indianapolis Star.

A news release from Massillamany & Jeter LLP, a Fishers, Indiana-based law firm, who represents the students, made the announcement on Wednesday.

The release did not identify any of the players, but did say the alleged assault took place on Oct. 13 at an an off-campus residence. The women also reported the alleged assault to school officials and the West Lafayette, Ind. Police Department.

None of the players have been arrested or charged with any crime.

"School officials must move quickly to hold these players accountable for their actions and show these victims that their voices are being heard,” attorney Mario Massillimany said. “If there are others out there who have been victimized in this manner, we encourage them to contact us to get the justice they deserve."

Massillimany says that school should expel the players and added those players have already been suspended from the football team.

According to Fox 59, at least three of the unidentified accused players have criminal records. One was charged with battery involving serious bodily injury, another faced theft charges and a third was charged with possession of marijuana, reports the TV station.

No one from Purdue's administration or athletic department has commented on the case."

I'd just be glad for them to be out of football. I hate playing those teams, it feels like such a waste of a good gameday. I always feel a little jealous of other teams that are playing good teams on the days where we're playing Rutgers.
