Former LSU player Drake Davis now facing child pornography charges

UPDATE: Drake Davis is now facing child pornography charges on top of his previous battery charges.
On Wednesday, an LSU spokesperson confirmed Davis was additionally booked on two counts of **** involving juveniles.
Davis' attorney would not provide a comment, saying that the new charges were only filed within the past 24 hours.
Details on the new allegations were not immediately made available.

BATON ROUGE - A judge has ordered suspended LSU wide receiver Drake Davis to remain in jail on battery charges until further notice.
Davis was charged with one count of battery of a dating partner (strangulation), two counts of battery of a dating partner and two counts of violation of protective orders, according to the LSU Police Department.
According to LSUPD, Davis entered the apartment of the victim around 2 am Saturday and immediately punched her and began to strangle her. During the exchange, Davis allegedly ripped the ear ring out of the victims' ear.
A witness provided photos of the victims injuries the victim sent her over text message. The witness said Davis slapped the victim repeatedly in the face causing an injury to the victims' eye.
LSUPD said the victim also confirmed another incident which occurred on Aug. 26. The victim told police she and Davis got into an argument, and when she attempted to leave he punched her causing a small cut and bruise to her lower leg.
Davis was arrested in August on charges of second-degree battery related to four separate incidents where he allegedly beat his then-girlfriend. Judge Don Johnson had ordered Davis to have a 10 p.m. curfew, the state also requested Davis not have any contact with the victim, his ex-girlfriend.
On Monday, it was confirmed that Davis would be kept in jail.
