Washington Commanders vs. Baltimore Ravens

Date:
October 13, 2024

Time: 1:00 PM ET

Location: M&T Bank Stadium Baltimore, Maryland

Broadcast: CBS with Jim Nantz, Tony Romo, Tracy Wolfson and Washington Commanders Radio Network.

The Washington Commanders vs. the Baltimore Ravens promises to be a thrilling showdown between two of the east coast’s top NFL teams. Many are wondering if the game will live up to its billing as a fierce rivalry match. The Commanders, riding a four-game winning streak will face a tough challenge against the Ravens who are themselves looking to extend their own three-game win streak at home in front of a very vocal, raucous crowd.

For many in Commanders’ Nation, none of this was supposed to be happening this year. Expectations ranged from another 4-win season, to a high of 7 to 8 victories this season. Few expected a 4-1 start and are pleasantly surprised that their favorite team, through five weeks, have captured the imagination of its ardent following and that of a football hungry nation. Having already matched last year’s win total of four with a chance to make a statement this week in a renewal of the regionally titled “Battle of the Beltway” this game has become a measuring stick for the visitors that will either announce full on that the Commanders are serious contenders or against the Baltimore Ravens team a consistent favorite to win it all still have work to do in order to become true equals. The Baltimore Ravens have a 17-3 record in their last 20 games against NFC teams. In 2023 they had a 5-0 record against non-conference opponents. Quarterback, Jackson, is 20-1 against the NFC in his career, so while non-conference games normally don't weigh this much, for their opponents this week, this is shaping up as the biggest Commanders game in years. A loss obviously won’t kill what has been a dream start to the season, but win this one, and who knows how high the ceiling is for this club? Jayden Daniels didn’t have his sharpest game last Sunday. He was a little off-target early, but he finished with 320 combined passing and rushing yards, shaking off the early red-zone pick to finish with a good overall performance. One other thing, it didn’t look very promising early on, but how about Washington’s defense? This might not be a special unit right now, but they’ve had three improving, albeit not stellar, performances in the past four games. At its conclusion, nothing would be finer than fans on both sides left eagerly anticipating their next clash.

Your ability to create game simulations continue to amaze.

As usual I’ll have to wait and think on final injuries as we head toward game day

I don’t know why but I’m thinking a Skins win by more than a TD at this moment… call me crazy LOL
