Commanders vs. Cowboys: Week 12 Preview
The Commanders are coming off of a mini-bye week and are looking to bounce back after two consecutive losses. They hold a 7-4 record and are led by rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels who has been otherwise impressive with 2,338 passing yards and 10 touchdowns.
The Cowboys have had a challenging season, they are currently standing at 3-7. With Dak Prescott out due to injury, his backup quarterback Cooper Rush will start. The Cowboys have struggled with injuries and consistency, making it difficult to compete for elusive wins this year.
Kliff Kingsbury: The Commanders’ offensive Coordinator has come under scrutiny in recent years after being tagged with unimpressive mid to late-season sub-par adjustments and preparations. If he wants to move away from the negative views, this is the perfect game for him to begin clearing those hurdles and put himself among the better coordinators in the league.
The Commanders are the favorites in this matchup, the odds makers have installed them as 10.5-point favorites, but anything can happen in a rivalry game. The Commanders will look to get back on track and improve their record to 8-4, while the Cowboys will aim to end their losing streak and play spoiler.

First Quarter
The game begins with an electric atmosphere as the Commanders receive the opening kickoff. Jayden Daniels quickly sets the tone, leading a meticulous drive down the field. Third Quarter
The second half starts with the Cowboys receiving the ball. The Commanders' defense remains stout, as Dorance Armstrong sacks Rush, forcing a punt. Daniels, brimming with confidence, leads another scoring drive. He finds Olamide Zaccheaus on a deep out route for 35 yards, then hits Noah Brown for a 10-yard touchdown pass, marking Daniels' fourth touchdown. The Cowboys try to rally, but the Commanders' secondary locks down their receivers. An interception by Marshon Lattimore gives the Commanders excellent field position. Although they fail to find the end zone, Seibert/Gonzalez nails a 42-yard field goal.
Fourth Quarter
The Cowboys show signs of life with a 20-yard touchdown pass from Rush to CeeDee Lamb, narrowing the gap. Daniels, now determined to put the game away takes the field, his confidence and familiar poise are evident, drives the team down the field with precise passes and strategic runs. The Commanders' running game, led by Brian Robinson Jr., and Ekeler, chews up the clock. With under five minutes remaining, Daniels orchestrates a clock-consuming drive, ending with a 2-yard touchdown run by Robinson Jr., sealing the overwhelming victory. . Enjoy the game, everyone!
