Which show got worse from where it started? I guess a majority of them got worse, but which ones stand out as you just wanting to finish since you already invested all that time watching the other seasons. I think the show has to be at least 5 seasons long.

On the other hand, which show started out bad and got real good? Seinfeld comes to mind, season one was just a different show.

Parks and recreation was so bad the.first season that I gave up on it... a year or 2 later I hear that it is a great show, so I give it another shot... and agreed... it became a great show...

GoT is the most glaring.

Arrested Development, it should not have attempted a comeback with how the cast all got so big.

That 70s show up there

Arrested Development is a good one, just too many characters just stick to the main family.

Got tired of three or four of those within the first season. And I never watched a lick of Roseanne.

nah... that's the normal path for a show to start off good and then gradually get worse if not just fall off a cliff... its very rare for a show to do the reverse... and even rarer for a show to be good throughout...

Heroes was only good the first half season. That show went bad FAST.

Prison Break was doomed from the start due to a flawed premise. Then they abandoned the premise and just turned it into the standard “swerve of the week” show.

Dexter was not nearly as bad upon a rewatch as I remembered. It certainly went down hill in the later seasons, but those “bad” seasons were not as bad as they seemed at the time.

I'll say 24. How many times can you have a mole in your operation every season? It got repetitive pretty quick.

Criminal Minds as well. Once Thomas Gibson left after the backstage drama, that show took a drastic turn for the worst I thought.

Can you tell me what went wrong with the GOT ? ....I don't see anything that stands out like the Sopranos ending.

I'm assuming it's not because the Characters you were rooting for did not make it but something esle.

I gave up on The Boys ...it just got too raunchy.
It was great the first couple seasons. Then it just became hateful politi-pron, so I bailed. I MIGHT watch this final season eventually, but I bailed on Gen V after the first ep of S2, so I actually suspect I am done with the whole franchise.

Not really a character you can cheer for in that show. Issue was sudden about face undoing seasons long character arcs in the name of brevity, incoherent plot points, all the clever characters becoming beyond stupid and writing still pretending they are not.

Show runners got a new show and went into wrap it up mode and crapped on all their work. Their lack of care shined through everywhere.

Last season was terrible.

I stopped watching GoT right before the last season. Ive seen enough to know that they had a good idea but didn't give it nearly enough time to breathe and there were some characters they screwed up entirely. They'd already diverted too much from the books for there to be much hope they'd stick the landing imo.

I've gone through That 70s Show a few times. It maybe has the worst last season of any TV show Ive seen. Ruined one of the characters completely, one of the characters was left with nothing to do, two of the characters left the show, one of them died.

I'd say Cheers got a little bit better as it went and Frasier got a little bit worse as it went. Nothing drastic, though, but I think Cheers just added some really good characters, subtracted one good character and one bad character.

Scrubs had a garbage final season but then they've rebooted it and its actually decent. Its in a very weird place right now where it could be a good show revived from the dead.

MASH maybe a little better after introducing Col Potter in season 4.

Scrubs is weird because the actors just look awkward as they got old (especially JD). And no Janitor really hurts the flow of the show.

The Dr Cox storyline was telegraphed too loudly. It just feels like it is recycled from the original run.

I think the flow of the show works but I do think there are limits as to how much this can be about the old cast. They'd struggle to get another season out of them being the focal point. Maybe its just best as an epilogue and not a show reboot.

I like the reboot except for the HR character who tries to sell a quality workplace environment. I feel there is a good idea there and it just totally sucks. Pam from Archer did that bit way better imo.

Vanessa Bayer has always bothered me. I don’t think it is her fault, I just can’t stand her smile. I understand that is how she has even had a career, but it just bothers me.

I agree that they need to build the new cast, but they already tried that once, and the first attempted reboot had better actors/characters than this collection. This new crew just sucks, and they aren’t concentrating on them enough to change my opinion of that.
