Instant oats and instant grits is one of my go-to breakfasts if I actually eat breakfast and am in a hurry. Nothing else needed.

The combination of the two changes up the texture and flavor imo.

Hotdogs. Several times a week for breakfast.
Done this too. Nothing beats gas station hot dogs when you realize your hungry at 9:00 in the morning. Cheap too!

nice! for breakfast? with eggs?

Used to be a local place next to a furniture plant no bigger than 300 sq. ft. run by a guy named Redpole. Had the best hotdogs, but my father would take me with him when we'd get a trailer loaded in the morning and I'd get a weenie and egg sandwich. Nothing like two red hot dogs split lengthways and fried on a griddle in bacon grease; add a fried egg on top with white bread slathered with Duke's mayo and black pepper and it's heaven. I've tried to recreate it at home, but it's never what I remembered.

Sausage and egg sandwiches are also up there too.

again right now im just eating bfast, i fast alot, got up, had some coffee, watched tv, did some cardio, had some more coffee, ran to store, did gifts with some family. Just eating bfast now.

one of the few meats that my dad says he can actually taste the flavor.. after his stem cell transplant back in 2010, ..he lost his taste for almost a year and a half when it finally started coming back steak was the only thing that tasted right in his mind so we eat it often.. his taste is still not exactly the same but it's mostly back to normal..

thats good to hear that things are on the up and up. and that his taste has come back. THats a killer when people obviously need to keep up their nutritional intake. Glad u guys found something that worked!

Brats are a way too prominent part of my diet. I probably have them for dinner twice a week (3 at a time) and I only eat 1 real meal per day.

Southern soul food! Grits with red eye gravy, collards, turnip greens, blackeye peas with onions, chicken livers, beef liver, country sausage, and pork tenderloin just to name a few and the amazing thing is my cholesterol has always checked low. I drink lots of skim milk too.

I've never been a fan of chicken liver, but catfish love it.

Redeye gravy is made after browning some country ham in a skillet, remove it, then pour in some coffee to "deglaze" the pan. Add some chicken broth, sugar, and butter as you go and then spoon onto the ham. It's not bad, but I prefer just doing biscuits and sausage gravy.
