Italian tennis player Fabio Fognini has been handed a suspended ban of two Grand Slam tournaments for profanely insulting a chair umpire at the US Open.

The Grand Slam board says Fognini will be suspended from participating in two major tournaments -- one of which would be the US Open -- if he commits another major offense before the end of 2019.

He should spend more time practicing and less time crying. He has a load of talent.

In his case, it was swearing badly at the chair umpire. I'm guessing if he were a higher ranked player, it wouldn't have been taken so seriously. Other higher ranked players have gotten away with worse.

That's bullshit. Tennis needs another Ilie Nastasi. It looks too corporate and whitewashed these days.
