I went to the draft last year in New Jersey and it was really awesome. I am working on going to this year in Philly but I am pretty sure I won't be able to swing next year in Florida.

Me personally, I think the Flames won't be much better, even if they get a player like Ekblad - their offense is so horrendous and so is their goaltending - they need some big time pieces

Actually, after they hopefully unload some veterans at the trade deadline for picks/prospects and start playing the young kids, I expect them to be worse next year than this year.

Yeah, although the goaltending hasn't been that bad (better than I expected at least). It's tough to win when you don't get any run support.

I told the Bossman a couple of weeks ago that I expect the Sabres to pass the Flames before the end of the season. Heck, they may pass the Flames before the end of January.

I was thinking pretty much the same thing. You're not going to get many people from Detroit, Toronto, Montreal, Philly etc. planning a trip to South Florida in June. That might be what it would take to sell this thing out. You never know though. Might be a good way to help create some buzz about the Panthers. They should be a decent team in 14-15.

I think Florida would be a good place for an NHL All-Star game, because then it would be in the winter and you would see a lot of fans from different places coming
