I'm a Flames fan (ignore my current avatar) and I say good on Campbell for assessing an appropriate suspension.
Tom Kostopoulos: "I'm extremely disappointed in the League's ruling as I believe I have not done anything illegal."
oh gee, did I really need another reason to hate the flames?Jay Feaster: "We strongly disagree, not only with the length of the suspension, but also with the fact that Tom was suspended."

Why do players, coaches, and GMs really feel the need to whine about stuff like this? I can see if stuff is borderline, but when it's that blatant just shut up and take it like a man.

Seems about right. Head shot, arms came up. You know, the NHL's life would be much easier if they just plain banned headshots in general. Don't even bring blindside, shoulder vs. elbow into it...just don't hit the head.
I've been saying that forever. They're not needed and provide absolutely no value to the game except to wet the pants of mouth breathers everywhere.

The sad part about these things is that for some reason rules HAVE to be there in order for action to be taken. So, save yourself the trouble NHL and blanket it. One rule, solves most issues.
