.......it was this play....

......all the highlight shows were showing it, which was a bit unusal since he played in the lowly MAC.

He is my other WR on my All Time team (props to Don Hutson) what he did was incredible, his first six or so seaons he put up amazing numbers. And has there ever been a better WR combo than him on one side and Chris Carter on the other?

Ok, the speed......he only ran track one season at Marshall, and it was indoors, yep....won the MAC 60/200. But it is easy to see a 10.2ish guy there, no problems.

As good s it gets.....

TO & Rice.

Not really, if ya look at the Moss with Carter years as Vikings vs Rice and TO years as Niners together, it is Moss and Carter.

Kinda like the Bo Jackson/Marcus Allen or Herschel Walker/Tony Dorsett thing.

Ya take his only season at Marshall and his first 4 NFL seasons...

8216 yards/79 TD;s that's amazing.

Wonder what Rice had, hmmm?

TO & rice

I get the name thing, but in reality what Moss and Carter did as a WR combo was far superior to what Rice and TO did together. As far as careers go that is different but wasn't talking about that.

@Manster7588 why the wondering comment? I thought we could just say random completely false things and they would be true?

Also chris carters 40 time was 4.63 ....and he wasnt in the relay race so this immediately bumps his greatness down

TO & Rice were together from 1996-2000. TO was a 3rd round pick so he had to really earn his playing time and wasn't afforded the instant starting that Moss had. It wasn't really until that 1998 season when TO became TO. Rice also missed pretty much the entire 1997 season. Moss & Carter were together from 1998-2001.

Still:

TO 96-00: 319 rec, 4,758 yards & 43 TD receptions
Rice 96-00: 339 rec, 4,124 yards & 30 TD receptions.

Moss 98-01: 308 rec, 5,396 yards & 53 TD receptions.
Carter 98-01: 337 rec, 4,397 yards & 40 TD receptions.

So yeah maybe Moss & Carter get the edge for that timeframe but if you could take the duo's in their primes I would probably go TO & Rice over Moss & Carter. TO & Rice are two of the top 3 WRs of all time. Moss is in that top 3 as well but Carter would be maybe outside that top 5.

Harrrison, Moss, Owens, Tim Brown, Carter, Wayne, can be debated where they belong behind Rice/Fitzgerald.

The best receiving gang I have ever seen was the Chargers with Kellen Winslow, Charley Joiner, John Jefferson who was spectacular. But when it comes to just two productive WR (sorry Tom and Crazy Legs) Moss and Carter for the few years they had together.
