That doesn’t make any sense unless we played the same team every time in the next series. I don’t randomly wish the Knicks to beat Atlanta nor the Blazers series to go 7. Only the preceding series. Otherwise, the other team gets rest. It needs to be a marathon. Both busy until they play and play 7 and then a rested us, even if that is 5 or 6 games. Heck, even if ours is seven, I want theirs to be seven.

Plus, I have no evidence that those teams closed out their previous series better than we did.

I don’t want a whole series to go seven games. One might think that I would want to Lakers series to go seven just to get the Lakers tired, but since I know that whoever the Lakers play may have a quicker series, I wouldn’t want them rested. So they have to complete whenever they do immediately and then when the Lakers play them then go seven. Of course, this only works if we take care of business. Otherwise, they will be the one that’s rested.

Love that we closed out, but I don’t like that we had Gobert and Mitchell in until two minutes to go. Yeah, yeah, yeah. 3-1 lead lost last year. Sure, sure, you can slip in the shower. But how stupid do you feel if Mitchell sprains his ankle with three minutes to go or Gobert goes out like Anthony Davis?
