It's annoying but rules are rules. It's splitting hairs but the linesman were awful last night. Weird icings. The missed offside. Every face off was a shit show it seemed. So I'm fine with reviewing their work. They tried their best to screw up a good game.

Yes, you are right, I just would rather see the offside review removed from the game. In most cases, if it is offside, it's by a whisker and had little to no impact on the goal that was scored. Also, if the defending team fails to clear the puck and a good amount of time goes by, did the team going offside 30 seconds prior have a direct impact on the goal?

Refs make mistakes with missing penalties that directly lead to goals and there's no review. If you feel a linesman isn't up to snuff and is not calling offsides correctly, send him packing and bring in somebody else.

Refs used to make mistakes about goal lines too. And still do.

I get annoyed with nitpicking but it's 99.9% objective. Of all the issues with the NHL this is about 1443rd on my list.

Drake Batherson has been my favorite senator for a few seasons but honestly I've watched maybe 30 minutes of this series so I have no idea
