The players are coming off a very, very strange season. The pitchers will have to ease back into their craft as none of them really worked very hard last season, at least not as hard as they would have in a full 162 game season.
The minor leaguers are going to have to reset their entire games in some cases. They had very little actual competition last season. A 2nd cousin of a friend of mine plays for the Phillies chain and did not play at all last year, except against batting practice pitchers and college players. I have not heard of what is happening with him this winter, though.

I'm trying to get tix to the first series in St Pete April 9-11. Rays still haven't put them on sale.

I'm hoping to go to see the White Sox play the Yankees at the Field of Dreams in Dyersville. Its only an hour and a half from my house.

That would be pretty cool. I heard all the hotels in a hour radius were sold out before they cancelled it last year.

I'm just curious how many people will actually be able to go-they've got to build a ton of seating you would think.

They were.
There are going to be about 10K seats that will be installed the couple of weeks before the game. The field is in place, and had quite a bit of security around it. They don't let anyone near it. It is about a quarter of a mile from the original field. The light towers are in place and will stay until they play the game. I hope that they let the local minor league teams play games there. There are 3 teams that are within about 3 hours of the field.
