Surprised by these ones.

NC State was absolutely thrashed by Clemson and A&M, lost by 2 scores to Syracuse, lost to Wake Forest at home, and beat no ranked teams.

Stanford was extremely lucky to get by a really shitty Pitt team, couldn't get by either Washington team, and was smoked by Utah and ND. Also zero ranked wins.

Iowa State with 5 losses and a narrow home escape against FCS Drake seems also like a bit of a stretch.

There weren’t that many good cfb, nfl, or nba teams in 2018... but there were lots of good baseball teams.

Iowa State has big wins and barely lost to Washington State. They may have struggled against Drake, but Iowa, Oklahoma, and Texas couldn't do much against them.

There were not many teams to choose from and I didn't want to spend a lot of time to look up results for 20-something ranking.

ISU has big wins? Other than WVU, their only other win over a team to even make a bowl was 7-6 Okie State. I do understand that it gives another ranked win to Iowa though.

I think this year was a good year to include more G5 teams in the final top 25 with how shitty many P5 teams looked. If anything, I should've included App State in my final top 25 of all the teams left out. They had a great year and punctuated it nicely.
