LFG boys! Last 6 games of the season and NOTHING is set in stone yet. Anything from a wild card bye division winner, to out of the playoffs are all technically possible. Strap in and get ready for the last week chaos.

3 games up on the Astros for the division. 2 games up on the Tigers for seed #2.

No word yet on Woo, but resting him until the playoffs wouldn't be a bad idea if they can win around his spot.

No AL teams play today, so every team in the AL is playing the final 6 games of their seasons starting tomorrow and ending Sunday.

As of right now, regardless of what other teams do:

- 2 more wins guarantees a playoff spot

- 3 more wins guarantee the division

- 4 more wins to guarantee a bye in R1 of the playoffs

This is the site I use:

Tuesday, 9/24 McCade Brown (RHP) vs Bryce Miller
Brown has only made 5 MLB starts and he has been preety bad: 9.17 ERA, 2.09 WHIP, .320 BAA
Can't sugarcoar Miller's season. It's been awful. Only one quality start in 16 starts. Equally as bad home as one the road. vvRight-handed hitter, who he has dominated in the past, are hitting him mthis year.

Wednesday Tanner Gordon (RHP) vs Luis Castillo
Gordon has made 9 starts since August first ijn which he has compiled a 6.65 ERA and a 1.41 WHIP
Castillo has been flat out brilliant in his last three starts, all quality starts with a 1.11 ERA and a 0.67 WHIP. Two of those three starts werrre on the road to boot. Castillo is coming alive at the right time.

Thursday Bradley Blalock vs Too Be Determined
Blalock has only lasted 22 innings in his last 5 starts and posted astronomic 12.30 ERA and 2.09 WHIP.
This would be Woo's regular spot in the rotation but even if he is given a clean bill of health, I doubt if they will pitch him unless the Mariners somehow lose both previous games to the Rockies while the Astros win their two against the Royals, and I just don't see that happening. So, I think the start goes to either Hancock, Evans (gets called up) or Legumina. Keep an eye Hancock and Legumina in the first two games to see if they are used out of the bullpen.

I don't want to see them popping champagne on just a postseason berth, but would be surprised if they don't. Save the good stuff for a division title.

I agree but 17 days ago after the 5-game losing streak and prior to winning 14 out of 15, we would GRATEFULLY have popped the cork on a wild card entry. So, why not? That just means we can get drunk twice. Sounds good to me. I think this late season blastomatic should be celebrated each and every time, regardless of what its post-season implications means.. But, you know what? They might clinch a playoff berth and a division title on the same night.

Seriously, 14 out of 15. Who was the last Mariner team to do that? The 2001 team?

I just don't want to see them lose focus even one bit.

As crazy as this stretch has been, we all know they could crash out and lose all 6.

If they take game 1 and the Yanks win, which because of the tiebreakers, guarantees a WC they can't take the foot off the gas. That Dodgers series will be rough to have to win to take a higher WC or Div.

I still don't feel like this is a real WS threat of a team, but no one in the AL looks unbeatable. Go for the best odds of making the show now while the league is down.

Didn’t the 2023 team do that? Seems like since Jerry has taken over his teams always rip off a long winning streak but also go ice, ice cold.

I don't know. Calling all sports nerds. I know that 2001 team won 15 in a row.

I see a 12 out of 13 in 2023, but that I think was the largest such of that season.

2022 they had a 14 game winning streak though. 1 loss before that streak and 3 more wins before that so, 17 out of 18 stretch.

What a waste lol.

I am just enjoying this past week now that it is stress free and over with. Good for these guys. I just have to accept they will never do things the normal way so take the scary wins as they come.

Playoff and WS contenders beat these pitchers down. Seattle wants to prove they're serious contenders than go out and mash these guys into the volcano.

How the hell does the Rockies have a -404 run differential? That has too be among the worst ever right?

988 runs allowed... Yikes

If this team fails to score 5+ in all 3 games....

Actually they do currently hold the worst differential in MLB history with the next worst at -345 in 1932 by the red Sox.

That's totally crazy.

Zero excuse for a team this stacked to not pile on score against one of the most historically bad teams in MLB history.

None

With how bad the Rockies have been this year combined with how bad the white Sox were last year, that's all the proof I need that MLB needs a minimum salary floor much more than it needs a salary cap.

Yeah but those are two bad examples cause salary isn’t their issues. Bad FA signings, bad drafting and terrible player development.
