Biggest mistake the Cards ever did in the last 20 years was resign the midget to that ridiculous contract.
I hope they start Murray against Seattle next Sunday.

you do realize you are posting on the FG thread & not the Monday night thread right?Biggest mistake the Cards ever did in the last 20 years was resign the midget to that ridiculous contract.

don't ban anything, keep the game way it is........it's quite exciting as is.If we get to the point of kickers booting 115 yard field goals with 100% accuracy due to being pinned at their own 1 yard line, maybe I'll allow it lol.
But again, we allow the Hail Mary (which typically never has flags called) - lol, should we just ban that too?

Mmmm, don't know about that... when a 300 lb man can run a 4.7 or so (Aaron Donald), it's not just the football lol. Even this year, Zabel (300 lb guard) had a 37" vert... like wtf? I'm a 200 lb man, and can't do anything near this. Shit is terrifying as hell!
Teams are also doing the ass ram push and going for it routinely on 4th down as well...All of a sudden.
A year ago everybody was screaming over Aubrey. Now every Tom Dick and Chet is doing it. Something is a foot.

Not sure why you brought that in as some sort of comparable?
Record attempts used to happen in Denver.
How about double doinks? We on opposite ends of this debate.
Considering that it is way more difficult to hit the posts than it is to put in between them, I think points should be rewarded for doinks that hit the crossbar.
How about double doinks?
Football originated from the same game as soccer and rugby. Kicking was initially a huge part of the sport. Maybe they should retool it to making the person who touched the ball last kick the field goal and get rid of kickers. It's been bugging me for some time but yesterday was the final straw. A 68 yard field goal to win a game.
Does anyone else think kickers are too important? How many times has some kid kicked a 50+ yard field goal to win a game this season? It must be 20 times. And there have been seven 60+ yard field goals already this season.
So what to do? I have two (mutually exclusive) suggestions. (1) Make filed goals worth 2 points, or (2) change the goal posts to, I'm spitballing here, cross bar at 12' 6" and uprights 15' apart.
Yes, I'm ranting. But that's what sports boards are for.
How about you just get rid of the separate specialist kicking ball, (and neither team gets their own 12 favoured balls). The refs sort out 20+ balls before the game and teams deal with whatever ball gets put in play. It's been bugging me for some time but yesterday was the final straw. A 68 yard field goal to win a game.

I personally don’t think the kicker’s legs have gotten stronger. I think the ball has been fucked with. When every kicker can routinely make 55+ yard kicks something’s rotten in Denmark.
they would also put the FG balls in the Microwave. This is exactly what happened.
Get rid of k balls (balls only used for kicking and not in real game action) and all this changes.
You would be shocked at the science and the tools that goes into manipulating the footballs that kickers kick these days. 25 years ago they literally used the same ball that teams hike on 1st down. Now they give the teams the balls a couple of day before hand and they can legally smooth out and soften the ball with brushes and sponges before they show up on Sunday.
get rid of field goals and touchdowns.
Let the games be decided by extra points and safeties!
