This is getting to be embarrassing! 6-3, 6-4. If Fed keeps going at this rate Nole and Murray are gonna crap their pants! This almost feels like the era where the big four started with Murray barely in the club, Nole three and Fed/Rafa the top honchos, except that Fed is owning Nadal badly.

Also tennis pundits had this line ready in case Fed lost to Brat-King in the earlier round! " umm Fed escaped his beat down at Indian Wells when Kyrgios withdrew". Lol

Confetti touch pretty cool! Fed could retire now!! Wonder what his ranking will be. I know he gets up to at least number four.

I completely did not expect old man Fed to win in the final after two back to back three setters that went the distance in the final sets. Those draw out your mental and physical res reserves. And to do it against the biggest danger man opponent of his career says a lot about Fed.

Don't blame the old man! He has four kids too!! He has to divide his time to beating up brat kids and spend time with his own kids.

I remember when the pundits declared Federer over the hill. They are doing the same to other players. Unbelievable.

Looks like I was right. We won't be seeing Fed until May 29th when the French Open begins

I dont blame him. I have been saying for the last few years he should not bother. Best case play 1 warm up 2 or 3 weeks before.

I think he should play 1 tourney before the FO. Maybe Rome.

I'll go with his line. He likes his chances in any tourney that he's in.

Plus, if the best clay players are older players (Wawrinka, Murray, Djokovic, Nadal), whom he is as good or better than right now, then why not him? He has a chance to have a good run, if he can get past the first few rounds when he might be getting settled in to the FO clay.

I think a young guy with more stamina is a bigger threat.

Also on grass, someone like Raonic will still be a threat.

I've never been a fan of someone retiring after a win.

I'd always wonder if they could do more.

If FED had retired in 2012, we never would have gotten this year, or even the Finals runs of 2014-2015.

If the Spurs had won in 2013 over the Heat and Duncan had retired, he would have missed out on 2014. As well as a 67 win 2015-2016.

looking forward to clay court season, and the pretend tennis fans on here who trash it.

glad fed isn't playing, though. i'd love to see him get another wimbledon, and he'll have to do it against a pretty well-rested nole and murray.
