Nadal may overtake him at Acapulco. It will be a see saw battle. Fed has the sunshine double points to defend and Nadal has the whole clay season (or most of it) points to defend.

Fed vs Kohlbie. Came back down three consecutive set points in the first set tiebreak. incidentally he went down in the TB after I started watching in horror. I think many of his fans suffer from PTSD from watching his matches. Fed up a crucial break in game 11 of second set. Serving for match now.

One MP saved by Kohlbie 40-15. Fed wins 7-5 second set and moves within one win to reclaim #1 ranking

fed trailed by a set before winning 6-1, 6-1 to reclaim back the #1 from Nadal. He actually deserved to end 2017 as #1 because he won one more event than Nadal, two slams each, and had the h2h supremacy over his rival.

Fed got no points during the clay season. Had he made a half hearted effort, he'd have been officially #1 even though he was the best player over the course of the year.

This guy was supposed to be washed up three slam wins ago and when he was trailing Lendl in title count. Only one guy is ahead of him now Jimmy Connors. ESPN is the dumbest sport site on the planet.

Djokovic is the greatest tennis player in history

they also proclaimed Nadal greatest in 2010, and Novak greatest in 2015. They also think Serena could beat some top ATP players and regualrly create clickbait threads comparing Fed and Serena.

I never thought he was washed up. He was still going deep in majors, making SFs, Finals.

Ok, because you didn't mention what tourney this was, and because you used shorthand in "Kohlbie", it wasn't as straight forward to figure out what just happened.

Apparently from Feb. 14 - 18 was the Rotterdam tournament.

It's funny that Federer can be both a Wild Card, and a # 1 seed.

The last time Federer played Rotterdam was in 2013, when he lost in the QFs to Benneteau.

BTW, I just realized FED played doubles in Indian Wells in 2014 and 2015.

He's played Doubles 11 times at that event.

There's a good chance he plays Doubles there again before his career is over.
