I would be pleasantly surprised if both 1 seeds go down..even though the Rags winning might be our best chance to get to the conf finals if we win our series. Wouldnt wanna face the Pens in the 2nd round.

I'm not a fan of the Kings, they are a team that was built off of losers. Maybe Richards can help them but I'm not counting on it. Quick can steal games but its not gonna be easy with the lack of goal scoring.

I'm kinda shocked everyone, including the experts are picking the pens. The flyers were 4-1 against them not counting the final, meaningless game of the season. they bullied the pens defense and made a mockery of their goaltending. The pens are gonna get a lot of goals but they are going to have a huge problem keeping goals out of their net.

I'm pretty sure that Giroux has made Philly fans forget all about Richards and Carter. Simmonds is an interesting case, especially in a series like the Pens/Flyers. Frankly, maybe they should be missing Richards because he was basically the best 2-way center in the league for a few years when he was with Philly.

I view this like the battle of Ontario between Ottawa and Toronto in playoffs. In 2000-2001 season Ottawa swept Leafs in regular season but the Leafs dominated in the Playoffs. What I'm getting at is don't bank everything on regular season head to head with who dominated who. Both teams are good and do agree that goaltending will be a key here. MAF, to me, has the edge over Bryz.

yeah richards had a bit of a nasty side that might be missed this series. yeah simmonds makes up for it but richards i think is more talented. i remember that playoff series mb i think the sens were like 2nd and the leafs 7th.

I wouldn't be shocked if the following happened.
Wings beat the Preds. Caps beat the defending champs. Panthers and Devils go to 7. If they do, anything can happen and I will have a breakdown during that game.

What I am rooting for the most besides the Devils winning quick?

If the regular season points mean anything, we will be facing that team across the Hudson river in round 2. If that is the case, we really cannot lose another playoff series to them.

I like our chances against the Rags. All the pressure will be on them because they are the #1 seed. We also matchup very well against them. Marty's puck play completely shuts down their dump and chase. They only have 2 players that can actually provide offense against the Devs - Gaborik and Hagelin.

There was a stretch there for the last 3 games i think it was were they scored only 4 goals? 3 of them being bad goals Marty shouldn't be giving up.
