Euro Super League. Thoughts ?

I guess I'm still confused. I thought initially it would be replacing the domestic game but it sounds like the intent is these 12 (15? 20?) teams will play these fixtures midweek and still participate in their domestic leagues? Maybe it's the Champions League that's mostly affected.

Either way I'm 100% against it and my team would be in it.

Biggest problem is that European Futbol has become stagnant on competition. The teams with the biggest brands get a majority of the money pull, and their owners want all of the money due to greed, which is the reason for this garbage super league. Fifa and its joining members has attempted to mitigate stagnant competition for the past 5 years and these large clubs basically said "F-U I want all the money for us and fuck everyone else".

They fucked up by announcing it straight away. If they had all said they were considering a ESL then maybe they wouldn't have caused as much damage as they have done now.

This is almost like telling your wife/girlfriend you wanna fuck her sister. You haven't technically done anything wrong yet but the trust is completely gone now.

I would support a European Super League with multiple divisions and automatic relegation and promotion. I am just against a closed shop in European leagues.
I would like Scottish clubs like Aberdeen, Glasgow Celtic, Glasgow Rangers, Hearts. Hibs, and Dundee United in a European Super League.
