Pretty good list, nothing too glaring.

Everybody has Creighton in their Top 25 and I'm still not quite sure why.

They lost a ton of games last year.

I think the middle of the Big East will take a step back this year. I have them pegged as the 3rd best team in the conference this year. I think that'll put them on the 5/6 line(much like Seton Hall last year). I think Seton Hall, Butler and Providence(big time) all take a step back this year.

As for Creighton themselves they return 4 out of 5 starters and have Kansas State transfer Marcus Foster eligible. Along with Justin Patton who redshirted last year, who was a top recruit in 2015. They went .500 in Big East play last year, and over half were close losses. They turn even three of those into wins they are 12-6.

We'll know pretty early on what this team is made of when they face Wisconsin in the Gavitt Games.

Last team in!!!

Take that with a big grain of salt! I had Marquette among my last 4 IN last year in my preseason bracket and they didn't make the tournament. :tsk:

And there goes my hopes!!

That said they won 20 games, the non con schedule was just gross. Team and schedule should be better this year

So maybe you're right this time!!

Schedule is significantly better. The higher end games will be better. And the lower end games won't be against 300+ competition. Playing the likes of Jackson State, Grambling State, Maine, Chicago State, San Jose State and Presbyterian absolutelty killed the OOC. This year just looking at the schedule it appears to only have two of them(Howard, SIU-Edwardsville). Sometimes it's not about playing a bunch of high level games, but avoiding teams ranked 250+. And Marquette does have the high level games this season(Wisconsin, Michigan) and good games against Georgia/Vandy and either SMU/Pitt.

Yeah that Fresno State game is also far better than your average cup cake. Hopefully we are good enough to win some of these games, Vandy game is right off the bat.

BE teams might stock pile wins with how bad DePaul and Providence may be

The Fresno State game is a good "filler" game, much better of a Mtn. West option than what San Jose State was last year. Fresno State was a quality team last year, think they take a little step back this year, but still should be a top 150 team.

I haven't researched their history but it's possible they had some major injuries or they have a really good freshmen class coming in this year. I know we play them in our second game of the season so we'll know where they stand after that game for sure.

They return 4 starters and add 3 impact players(Marcus Foster, Kansas State transfer, Justin Patton, top 50 recruit who red shirted last year and Kobe Paras, who originally signed with UCLA, but wasn't academically eligible)

Wisky went nuts with their scheduling.

Killer NC. Much respect.

If they get out of it unscathed, they'll be #1 RPI.

Their schedule has a lot of high quality games(Creighton, Syracuse, Marquette, Oklahoma, Maui Invitational-could be a gauntlet if they beat Tennessee, which I'm sure they will). But the funny thing is they also play Central Arkansas(RPI of 338 last year), Chicago State(338), Prairie View A&M(334), Florida A&M(349) and Idaho State(256). I will be interested to see what their non conf. SoS is like at the end of the regular season because there is no denying they have what could be 5/6 games against at large tournament teams.

For sure I just haven't seen enough of us or other teams to know if that's even possible right now. Creighton, Oregon, UNC, and Cuse are all tough matchups. If we win those games I would say it's a great possibility of this team making it's 3rd final 4 game in 4 years.
