It just dawned on me today...

Is there another former MLBer who carries the water for an org that he NEVER worked for?

I understand he grew up a HUGE Giants fan (heck, I went to HS with him), but he played for 4 orgs (2 of which he spent considerable time with) in his career. Don't guys usually latch on professionally with one of them?

Not much of a buddy of yours though, since his name is spelled Byrnes... :)

Shit maybe he can suit up and play left.
Actually, no kidding at all, who would you rather have in left today, Barry Bonds or Justin Christian?

I'm guessing you weren't best friends with him since you misspelled his name. LOL.

Yeah, I think you're right that players usually get a job with their former teams. I was telling my wife last night that color commentators are usually guys who used to play for the team.

LOL. Poor Christian. He seems to be popping everything up.

LOL

Yea, we hardly knew each other. I was actually a year ahead of him. Further, I did not even know he played baseball :)
