Exactly what I feared in the other thread. If we get punished for this - while the Cubs got away with the same thing in their wait to promote Kris Bryant. That's some real BS.

all i have to say is the agency are greedy fucks! doesn't matter if eloy thinks he's ready. probably half the kids in the minors think they're ready. the sox should not even respond to this 'agency'.

Yeah, I know what I said in the other thread and would still like to see him have come up... but still... trying to go after an organization for not promoting a guy whose played just 100 AAA baseball games is so petty.

An agency is supposed to be operating in the best interest of the player (in theory). Them creating chaos with Eloy's organization before he's even reached the big league level is not doing that. He's 21 and just made AAA... for chrissake. Just wait 5 months and he'll be reporting to spring training with the big club. Before breaking into the season with them. Possibly after April 15th for control purposes... but we'll see.

Something tells me that when the next bargaining agreement begins in earnest between the two sides, this issue regarding playing time and player control might just be topic #1.

The agent has no leg to stand on. Eloy hasnt been in triple A for a full season yet.

They should probably give him back to the Cubs to make this issue go away
