For the record, I strongly support Julien's stance on embellishment. I think each team needs to start by looking at guys on their own team and clean from within.

/The video made me chuckle as well.

Lol. Let's see - lots of clips of the Caps, making fun of Marchand, and music by Two Steps from Hell. It certainly has all the familiar markings of an Eloco video, but no, it's not me. It's from the most media-savvy, best-video-editing fanbase in the NHL by a mile... the Vancouver Canucks.

But I'm guessing you already knew that, Dash. Wait a sec... are you pumping my tires? ;)

Great video. And it was a Canucks' fan that made my favorite OV video. Still gives me chills...

I'd like to see after the fact punishments for diving or embellishments made by the league, much like they do for dangerous plays.

It's tough for the refs to distinguish a dive/embellisment from a legit play, I don't blame them. So let players dive in the game if they want. But the league should review, and start fining and eventually suspending repeat offenders. At the very least, they should target the players who clutch their face and roll on the ice when contact wasn't even made.

Hey wait, I thought Ruff was the only whiner in the league. I can name a few for sure.

Earlier tonight Bernier took a blatant high stick to the mouth, had his initial flinch and then went right back to playing and there was no call. Guaranteed if he played it up more he would've got the call.

Great idea, Dacks. I like it!

I think that has exacerbated the issue. Players know that at times they have to embellish to get a legitimate call. It isn't that far of a stretch to embellishing border line calls or outright diving.

I do like Dacks idea about punishing dives after the fact. I think that can help to curb the problem.
