One of the things I like about McCloughan is when he says things like "I want good football players." Too often you see guys get drafted off of their combine performance. Some guys don't have the measurables but are just flat out football players. You can find guys like that at these all-star games.

These guys do get drafted in the later rounds. Skinsdad has there ever been a shrine player that was drafted in the first four rounds? Just curious. thanks.

there is a center in that game maycock says could be a starting NFL center

i will be looking hard at him

Being I'm a diehard Michigan fan, I'll try not to look through the Maize and Blue glasses. However, a name to watch as an interior lineman is Graham Glasgow.

He played C for us this year and did an outstanding job. He didn't get a lot of pub because our weakness at OL was with our guards, but he can play any of the 3 positions, RG, LG, or C. He's a former walk-on that recently earned a spot in the Senior Bowl based on his performance this week during Shrine practices. He got to learn a lot from not only Harbaugh this year, but one of the best OL coaches in college, Tim Dreveno. He'll be a name to watch as these games and combine happen.

While I'm on the subject, another sleeper is DL Willie Henry. Guy will show impressive numbers if he's invited to the combine. He's as strong as an ox and is quick off the ball. His thing has been consistency over the course of a game. No doubt he'll get tons of looks, and he could even go in the 2-3 range depending how his testing numbers look.

I won't even talk about Jake Rudock. Kid progressed as much as anyone at QB throughout the course of the year. Great head on his shoulders and was coached by Harbaugh. Enough said....

Go BLUE and HTTR!!!

I made mention of Rudock a few weeks ago. That kid progressed a great deal during the year. It will be interesting to see if anyone picks him up.

If he preforms well during the all-star game, while having a good pro-day/combine, I think he'll be a late pick. He can make all the throws and has the uncanny ability to scramble at the right times. His issue early in the season was the turnover margin, but the kid was coming in during the spring and learning everything all over. Once he grasped the playbook, while the coaches understanding his likes and dislikes, he flourished. Harbaugh did a great job teaching him progression and reading defenses. He's also a very bright kid. Was deciding between pursuing the NFL or becoming a doctor at UM. He'll probably need to add a little weight but he's got the height. Rooting for the kid...
