Just thought it was odd that all three East series were 3-1,
and 3 series in the West were 2-2, with Chi-Nsh yet to play game 4.

and it's not the "parity in the west" argument, as a couple of the east series are 3-1 for the lower seed.

i think that overall, the teams in the west are just very close in terms of competitive balance (i guess thats just another way of saying parity). for example, nashville only had 5 less wins than chicago.

in the east, i think it's more of a matchups thing. it seems like philly and boston just match up really well with nj and buffalo, respectively.
