First off, I don't get the chance to watch very many games because of my schedule and where I live. However I've noticed a trend in the first 5 games of the season; the Kings are giving up a lot of shots.

That's how many shots LA has allowed so far. We've only outshot 2 opponents (SJ on opening night 34-30, Winnipeg 31-30).

Is this an initial cause for concern? Obviously its 5 games and LA is 3-1-1 but the foundation of this team is defense and for the past few years that's meant limiting shots.

A couple of those games Win/Edm we had a comfortable lead and they went into a defensive shell, and the other team just shot the puck. Probably not a lot of scoring chances though. It would explain how they out shot SJ when they had a comfortable lead.

The St. Louis game? :noidea:

Blues dominated that game last night IMO, Quick stole that one - as all world goalies should now and again - but the Kings were under siege from the get go.

I've noticed teams have come at the Kings much harder than last year, obviously because they are the defending champs, so the Kings will need to figure out how to handle these types of attacks and get themselves back to controlling the play.
