I think the D may be able to hold the Saints under 48 this time.
Really it looks like 2 teams going in opposite directions from the last time they met.
i wish i felt that way. Nick and the offense needs to pull out their SB act from last year, or the D-Line needs to make more plays and not give away punts with dumb penalties, they can't have dumb penalties to extend drives.................. so many dumb extensions.
Eagles have to be more aggressive with the offensive play calling to maybe keep Brees off the field for a few minutes.
I have no reason to doubt Doug and Big Dick Nick.
i'd like to say we need to blitz more next week, but brees is brees. that said, more blitz may be the key. trubisky and the bears were able to get to the secondary in the second half. either way, offense needs to score and score some more if they want to win.
Saints have a decent Defense, but nowhere near as good as the Bears and despite that one bad INT in the End Zone (the other INT was Smallwood's fault imo) Foles moved the ball well. I think the Saints game will be high scoring ... we need to establish the run better than we did against the Bears even though the Saints have good run D. If nothing else I think it will be a fun game to watch; we'll be big underdogs but whatever ... we relish that role.
I wish they would run the ball to the OUTSIDE more instead of hitting the wall in the center, as our OL just can't double team block well right now and don't create any holes. They need to design the runs to get outside. That was much more effective last year as well. Kelce's best blocking was on the run... not creating any holes in the middle.
Jason Peters said the Saints ran up the score and the Eagles are still pissed about it.
I like this.
That doesnt mean shit unless they're gonna do something about it. No bulletin board material, just let ur play dictate how mad u were. Control the clock and the birds can beat these fckers......
I'm sure Peters is aware.
We have to sustain long drives and keep Brees off the field as much as possible. When Brees is on the field, pressure has to get home. Easier said than done but I don't think history will repeat itself... Saints are not going to run up any scores on this team 2nd time around.
I always like 2nd time around teams in any sport. Remember the eagles beat the shit outta the cardinals in 08. I forget the exact score and dont feel like looking it up. But it was something like 40 something to 14. The 2nd time around cardinals got their revenge in the NFC title game. Granted they were home, but revenge is revenge.
I can see the Saints players coming into this game overconfident. They blew us out a few weeks back. The difference now is that this Eagles team has finally found its identity and playing yet again with house money. A few weeks ago this team was not motivated and waiting for the season to end quickly. We are a team that teams should be fearing now. The Saints very well may be caught with their pants down in this game. We shall see if they prepared or took the extra time off.
Not only that, but a few players ( Kamara) went on record and said that they would have beaten the Eagles last season if they played. This is a very arrogant team. This would be the ultimate kick in the nuts if we beat them in thedome. Duck Shawn Peyton.
Malcolm Jenkins will have the game of his life this game. I promise!
Foles will have a big game and throw 4 touchdown passes! Eagles will win and advance!
Next person to bump the draft thread gets a burnt down house.
Then you better start burning down houses because game day threads are STILL more important.
