Ehh, I don't really agree with the Rams. They may be getting pressure numerically interior wise, but I bet you they aren't getting dick on the edge.

just looking at numbers, the Eagles have allowed quite a few sacks (18) and their run game has been middle of the road ... if their O-line is actually the 2nd best, that means their RB's are horrid and their QB's hold onto the ball too long?

Philly is not in the top 10 in sacks by their defense (16) ... Rams are even lower with only 12 sacks for the year....

Ravens defense leads the league in sacks with 26 .... Steelers 2nd with 22

I'll take a top #9 and a #3 for my team especially when anything defensive is in the top 10. Numbers can be deceiving though. There is no way in hell that 30 points should have been put up on them last Monday night.

The Eagles offensive line IMO has not been that great. Wentz has been getting hit way too much but that also ties into being predictable on offense. Pederson has channeled his inner Reid with an almost 70% pass clip. Teams are teeing off against the Eagles but selling out the pass. The run blocking has been pretty good to be honest. We just don't stick with it.

The defensive line has been fantastic. In fact the Eagles front 7 has not disappointed. The problem the Eagles have defensively has been the secondary. I swear Jalen "double move" Mills is the worst starting corner in the NFL. Offenses are starting to target him more and more as the film shows how bad he is.

this particular analysis was just measuring 'pass rush' from each defense and PFF likes what they see from the Eagles ... even though it hasn't equated to a ton of sacks yet, they must feel they are getting consistent pressure to effect plays ...

I agree on this. Sacks are not going to tell the entire story about defensive line play. Sure sacks are part of but there is more to it. Pressure can make a QB get rid of the ball faster than they want. May force them to check down because they were not given enough time to let other longer patterns develop.

if the Rams continue to send in video to the league office weekly showing Donald getting held, the officials will eventually start paying closer attention. I know it doesn't do much good right now but the Rams will eventually get them to take notice.
