Dune: Part 2 is currently scheduled to be released on Friday, October 20, 2023 (almost exactly two years after the first movie) Friday, November 17, 2023 Friday, November 3, 2023 Friday, March 15, 2024 Friday, March 1, 2024.

New cast announced today:

- Emperor Shaddam IV Corrino will be played by Christopher Walken
- Princess Irulan Corrino will be played by Florence Pugh (best known as Yelena Belova / Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe)
- na-Baron Feyd-Rautha Rabban Harkonnen will be played by Austin Butler (best known as the lead on The Shannara Chronicles)

Walken as the emperor is an interesting choice. Pugh as Irulan is a good choice. She and Zendaya are the 2 it girls right now and they are both going to be in this.

Pugh's Russian accent was so perfect (and not over the top) in Black Widow that I lost a bet with my wife that she was actually Russian.

My thoughts exactly. It could be amazing or a train wreck. Walken has been leaning into the "I'm a weirdo" vibe. Not sure how that will play out as the Padishah Emperor.

I love the choice for Feyd. He's got the right look for sure.

Thing with Walken is he's actually a very good actor when he wants to be. But sometimes, and like you referenced its more like this of late, he just sort of relies on the meme of Christopher Walken. I bet if its a role he's really into, he can go back to the acting skills he had back in the day
