Personally, I think Disney made a HUGE mistake scheduling all three movies (Dumbo, Aladdin, The Lion King) within 5 months of each other from spring to midsummer.

I think the movies would perform better at the box office if Disney spaced them out more. There was no need to rush them out so quickly. There was a rapid acceleration in the remakes schedule.

It started out:

2014: Maleficent
2015: Cinderella
2016: The Jungle Book
2017: Beauty and the Beast

That one-remake-per-year release schedule was working out great for Disney and producing some of the highest-grossing movies each year!

Now, suddenly, Disney is departing from that one-per-year schedule and releasing three in 2019? I guess the studio executives are seeing lots and lots of dollar signs $$$$$, but stacking the three 2019 releases right next to each other may just cause those releases to cannibalize each other, competing with each other and resulting in "remake fatigue" in which the audience loses hype because they've seen too much similar stuff too recently.

I think Disney would be better off in the long-term by sticking closer to the previous schedule and releasing 1 or at most 2 live-action remakes a year instead of suddenly jumping to 3.

I could see Dumbo totally bombing. I dont think today's youth is into that era at all.

Aladdin is really awkward to watch in 2018. I see why that was remade.

The Lion King is a pure cash grab. That doesnt need to be made at all.

Aladdin is probably going to have to make its money overseas because it looks pretty mundane so far.

As much as I say that Lion King doesnt need to be remade, its probably going to make more money than Aladdin and Dumbo put together.

These look so stupid, lol. Beauty and the Beast was terrible, Dumbo was.... dumb (derp)... but whatever. Disney is cashing in on classics and might as well because.......... reasons. I'm sure Aladdin/Lion King, and... uh... The Frog Princess or Little Mermaid will do well.
