1-year deal is all I've seen. Prove it time for Timmy.

Interesting move right before the draft. I am not sure it really affects the possible selection of a DT, but I love the move. Jernigan when healthy really improves our front four.

Yummy. Really takes that 3rd DT need down a notch.

Still I want my sleeper Armon Watts.

How about Daylon Mack?
Personally, not a big fan although he's a late bloomer which I do like in general. They can be good targets later in the draft.

He's really wide, but short with short arms. Not much production. Ran too slow at the combine to be lacking in the length department for me.

4th rounder. Still not seeing much DT talent in the 2nd or 3rd.

He sure didn’t get what he thought he could out there. No surprise with the injury.

I think DT is still a top priority, but they can afford a more developmental mid to late rounder if they feel good about him.

DT rotation could be murderous this year!

Jernigan's a damn good player if back to 100% ... that's a lethal 1-2-3 punch at the Tackle spot. It certainly lowers the immediate need for that #3 DT "this" year, so they are not going to reach for one.

After thinking about this move ... I think there is actually a bigger chance we now take Jeffery Simmons at 25 if still there. With Jernigan signed on a one year prove it deal, they can red shirt Simmons where he doesn't need to step in year 1 and he steps in year 2 if Jernigan leaves.

Yes, Simmons, or Lawrence. Unless Hollywood is available.

So are the Birds looking to target a defensive end instead? If this were Reid’s team, I mean might say yes but I’m leaning towards offensive line and safety. O line is older and we’re pretty thin at safety.

Wouldn’t surprise me at all if 2 of the first 3 picks were O line and safety. I’m wondering what round we wind up getting our #2 back or if Duke Johnson get traded to us.

I don't know if this is accurate or not, but it looks like we signed Jernigan for ONLY 1.25 million with bonuses that could bring it "up" to 2 million. If Jernigan is back to health (which is what I've heard), this is a deal and a half for the Birds.

I read he wanted to make it team friendly so he had the opportunity to end his career in Philly. Culture is everything to the aging vets and what the Eagles have going in that locker room is the best for this team and the chance of winning it all
