It's not DCEU (nor Arrowverse for that matter). It only shares continuity with the other DC Universe shows, of which the only one released so far is Titans, though other forthcoming shows like Swamp Thing and Stargirl will also soon be joining this continuity.

Ah, good catch! I looked into it some more, and I was mistaken in thinking that Swamp Thing was definitely going to be Titansverse: it's unclear right now exactly what continuity the forthcoming Swamp Thing series is going to be in.

(Doom Patrol is definitely in Titansverse, though, since those versions of those characters already appeared in several episodes of the first season of Titans.)

I am completely unfamiliar with this team. But from the looks of the members...

Robotman, while predating him by almost 50 years, is a poor-man’s version of Robot from the invincible-verse.

Elasti-Woman has powers that have been used over and over again in comics. Does she have an added power of long life?

Crazy Jane looks like the DC version of Legion. I am guessing she is not as powerful, though.

I don’t understand Negativeman’s power, so I can’t offer a comparison.

The Chief is Prof X, Reed Richards, etc, but without the powers.

Cyborg is known by all.

I do not have the service, so I won’t watch this show, but it looks like it is worth taking a look.

Not nearly as excited about this as I was for Titans or am for swamp thing.

Update: the Arrowverse Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover just separated out the Doom Patrol continuity, now Earth-21, from the Titans continuity, now Earth-9. Behind the scenes, this was apparently done to resolve inconsistencies between the Doom Patrol backdoor pilot on Titans and the main Doom Patrol series.

I have this series in my queue on my hbomax. I am currently slowly binging BBT and Bones, so I likely won’t start Doom Patrol for quite some time.

I’ve been watching over the last few days. Almost done with S1.

1) Diane Guerrero is fantastic. I never saw her as much of an actress in OitNB, but seeing her here has certainly put her on my radar.

2) It kinda seems like it wants to be a Legion light. A lot of mind-bending reality fucking, but much easier to follow.

3) I typically enjoy 4th-wall dropping, but this has gone WAY too far in that regard. I am not familiar with Mr Nobody from the comics, but I assume he is kinda like Deadpool in that he often talks directly to the reader?
