But Panda is hitting .274 on the season, and over the last 10 games, he is hitting .326 with 3 HR. In ugust, he is hitting .326 with a .930 OPS.

He is getting to the point where he may be able to carry the team again. If he shows up, and can be a consistent #5 hitter, along with Posey, Torres, Huff and Burrell (heck, maybe even Belt!!), this is actually a pretty decent lineup.

Who woulda thunk it?

I like how at most times our lineup can take you deep 1-7.

Torres, Posey, Huff, Burrell, Sandoval, Guillen, Uribe are all power threats. And with Ross and Rowand on the bench (or Guillen), there is power there as well.

You have to give it to Sabean, he has assembled a team loaded (yes loaded with more to come) and now it's up to the players.

You heard it here, this is the most talented team in the NL. Yes, that's right.

Their pen is bad, of all the contenders it's probably the worst (though the Cards isn't much better). And their rotation is behind ours, the Pads, the Braves and Cards because of depth. They have a deadly top 2, but 3-5 is just average, if that.

And the offense is probably the best, but we are not far behind.

We are the most talented, maybe not by much, but it's up to the players (as always, but you know what I mean).

OK...let's predict:

What will Panda's EOY slash line be?

My guess: 290/345/460 wOBA of 352
