They're the epitome of consistency.Since Tom Brady took over at qb.
This will be the 18th different starting qb for the phins
I agree with everything except that a younger QB would have a chance to stick. IE. Rosen and I honestly believe that Bridgewater would have been given a shot to show his wares. Some disagree but he's only 26 and NO obviously believes this too... They really can't go wrong and if anything Fitz will be entertaining.I like the signing. Dolphins arent committing to any QB this year. They have some plan in 2020.
Fitzmagic is good enough to help them evaluate other offensive players. Great locker room guy. Cheap. Gives a chance to win. When new guy does come in. he will most likely be ok with being the back up. (he is being paid back up money now)
If he has to start the 2020 season as the starter it will flow until they make the swap. They were never gonna get a high quality 1st stringer. None would be willing to go there as a lame duck starter.
Not really they could take a guy later this year or go hard next year. They seem to be committed to fixing the lines which is a must. He's a decent QB but the Dolphins have to pick QB early in the 2019 draft.
Too many morons like Gase running the show I have to agree with ya for once...seems like Grier gets it now so watch out! They're the epitome of consistency.
Could happen to be honest there's some good in winning creates that culture for the young guys but they have to build upon that or you go no where as we've seen.Dolphins will open 6-0 and finish 6-10.
I like it
Apparently if they stay the course they will have 120 M in cap by next year....it may not take long but still have to find that elusive QB.Dolphins are going to tank for 2 years clear cap space and pick up draft picks. They will try to build around Tua Tagualoa or Trevor Lawrence and Fitz will be the perfect mentor for them.
Agreed and with him they'll definitely be looking for a QB but it may not happen this year unless someone they like slides. I see them going either dline, oline or CB in the first. His problem is he's almost too good to be a back up.
If #1 falters or is hurt he comes in and looks like he walks on water.
What you have to realize as a coach is that you had a #1 for a reason. You can't stick with Fitz long term because he doesn't deliver long term.
But I'd take him as a back up on my team any day. Even with the silly beard.
The above tweet was the best from the linked references and about sums it up.
Positive for the Dolphins is they got an additional 4th round pick and a lower cap hit for about the same talent.
I am hoping we will see something like what is happening in Cleveland come to pass in Miami about the time Brady finally craps out.Apparently if they stay the course they will have 120 M in cap by next year....it may not take long but still have to find that elusive QB.
Be careful we don't want to take as long as the browns to retool...I'm hoping in a few years they will be back in the hunt. All depends on QB though...I am hoping we will see something like what is happening in Cleveland come to pass in Miami about the time Brady finally craps out.
NO I am saying as far as clearing cap space the past 2 years and reloading this off season around their QB.Be careful we don't want to take as long as the browns to retool...I'm hoping in a few years they will be back in the hunt. All depends on QB though...
First smart thing that FO has done in decades. Cut bait now. Wait, hope and pray TB and BB retire around this same time period so they have a shot.Dolphins are going to tank for 2 years clear cap space and pick up draft picks. You ain't wrong.First smart thing that FO has done in decades. Cut bait now. Wait, hope and pray TB and BB retire around this same time period so they have a shot.
