Does Nagy get fired anyway?

So a report came out last week that this was going to be Nagy's last game as HC of Da Bears. A reporter actually asked him about that at the press conference after Sunday's loss to the Ravens who started 2020 UFA QB Tyler Huntley last minute because Lamar was sick. So the owner came out and said the report was false, yada, yada. But the question now becomes does Nagy possibly get fired anyway. I say if the Bears lose to the Lions today, it's obviously a no brainer. But if the Bears win but struggle on offense and barely squeak one out, does Nagy get the ax anyway? I think he might. At best, if the Bears play well enough to keep his job for now, I think he's a "dead man walking" HC anyway and it's only a matter of when, not if.

The Bears have never fired a coach in-season. So, of course he gets fired, it's just a matter of if they decide they want to be the same old Bears or if they want change. I think they need change.

I sure as fuck hope so. Can't say I'll be upset if they wait until the end of the season. Not like this team is going anywhere important this season.

Let em go at the end of the season. The bears are gonna be a wash this season anyways.

That's what I'm concerned about. They'll fire him and then the team will be refreshed and get up for one or both of the games against the Vikings.

I want him to stay the whole season.

I suspect they'll let him go once he gets eliminated from the playoffs

I'm thinking they keep him until the end of the regular season now. The Bears F.O. won't likely do an in season fire but he really is a lame duck HC at this point.

The Bears-Lions turkey day game might honestly be the worst coaching matchup Ive ever seen. There are so many 'what are they doing?' moments in that game.
