I think he's done and also that he's cool with it. But I guess anything is possible. As for the other question, I do care. Gronk was a great player but even more than that, he was a character and a helluva lot of fun. I'm really looking forward to his HOF speech. Should be a classic.

True, he will effortlessly string together grunts and mono-syllabic words like a champion in his HOF speech. Seriously though, it will be really entertaining.

IMO his back is toast. he had a bulging disc that kept him from flying to Chicago last year, and apparently that was what sold him on retiring. If he plays, hes risking another back surgery.
Then you hear teammates saying they think he will come back mid season, and his agent, etc.

Let's vote.

I think he will undoubtably get an itch, especially since he can still play at a good level. I do think he's not coming back, though. I think he knows his back won't up and will get advised to stay retired.
