As someone who's been to a Dallas bowl game (Cotton) it not the best of mid-winter destinations. Really, Dallas in January isn't much better than Oklahoma City in January. We did get to see a giant statue of a cowboy at the state fair grounds, though. So that was nice.

The venue itself is fantastic, but it's not good for college games. Bad acoustics for bands, and it's hard to sellout games in that building depending on who's in that game.
