Baltimore's #1 ranked D can keep the Chiefs to 20 points or less while scoring enough to win with the now potent run game....Keeping in mind that the deep ball is not an option with Lamar under center but Joe could be sent in on those plays....Unusual yes, but the league has already crossed that line......
What think ye folks ???????????

I'm thinking 27-30 pts for KC minimum, kinda like the Saints/Ravens game earlier this season. I don't think Lamar will get as many rushing yards as he has been getting either. I think the Chiefs front will limit Lamar's scrambling ability but maybe the Ravens coaches can come up with some roll-outs or some other QB run. If he is standing in the pocket passing, I think it will be a long, shitty day for Ravens fans. And I'm not a believer in bringing Flacco in on throwing downs. I just can't see it working.

im very curious about this game.
Baltimore shut down brees.
So can they shut down the chiefs without watkins and hunt.....its possible

what they shouldnt do is go to a 2qb system. Your just telegraphing plays, and getting guys out of a rythym.....
which is ok by me.........but just my thoughts......

Flacco getting injured was the best thing that happened to Balt. If Jackson can keep running like he has been, they have a chance. Baltimore needs to milk Jacksons running ability because it won't last long.

Anything is possible, Dallas just shut the potent NO down, but highly unlikely. KC looks decent against the run, but suspect against the pass, and that's not Jackson's forte

Sure they can.
KC by no means as arrived as NFL unstoppable. 12 football games does not make this team as automatic. Just 12 games

kansas city's run D is a little bit hard to pin down looking at things.

THey give up the 12th least rushing yards.
They have the 11th most rushing attempts against them
22nd in rushing yards allowed per game
6th most rushing td's allowed
Yet they give up a RObust 5.1 YPC, dead last in the NFL
which means shit dont add up.

but on the whole , they arent good against the run

KC's offense has been a lot better than NO's offense, fwiw. We will see though.

KC is horrible against the run, and despite the volume they get in the pass, they can generate a lot of negative plays via their passrush and have enough CB play to slow down most WR's.

TE's and RB's still kill them, but Dorian O'Daniel has, seemingly, made a dramatic impact on the pass D; nothing great, but they are 21st in weighted defensive DVOA, they aren't that bad a D. Baltimore is gonna have to limit possessions and hope they get a little lucky here or there with a TO is my guess.

They're worst in the NFL against the run via DVOA- their ILB's are lost and misdiagnose gaps constantly, and the DB's outside of Fuller aren't athletic enough or don't tackle. Dorian ain't bad neck up, but he's really a safety out there to snuff out TE's over the middle and RB's. KC has lowkey been a decent pass D since he has gotten into the lineup.

KC offense has been better than most everyone, but new orleans is right there, with like 500 less yards on the year, and about 2 less ppg, but still 2nd in ppg on the year

Chiefs vs TE's Pre-O'Daniel starting yards/target: 10.78
Chiefs vs TE's with O'Daniel Starting yards/target: 7.56
NFL average: 7.66

RB's Pre-O'Daniel: 8.5
RB's O'Daniel: 5.75
NFL Average: 6.27

Prior to tomorrow, it'll be a 6 game sample size for each. Not saying O'Daniel is 100% the reason for it, but he's definitely a reason for the relative turnaround. Still can beat the D beat with TEs (Remember how NE and LAR got their last scores? Oakland got Cook to go off last week) but they aren't apocalyptically bad like they were to begin the season.

RB's do include FB's if anyone is wondering*

I expect 30 points from KC. Balts D may be #1 but meh.....there are no great D's in todays game.

baltimore allows 17.8 ppg fewest in the league, leads the league in total D. 3rd in rush yards against, 2nd in pass yards against.
thats pretty dominant

They're only -12.2% on DVOA. That's just a good D masquerading as an elite D via high ranking. They're nowhere close to actual dominant D's like last year's Jags, 2015, Broncos, early 2000's Ravens, etc.

Chiefs O is at 39.0% (positive is good here) ... THAT's a dominant unit. It's not a stretch to say KC's O is 3 times as good as Baltimore's D is good.
