So it's Christmas this Tuesday and no it has not been cancelled as @Used 2 B Hu has been touting....

I'm curious as to wether or not different regions of the great USA has different Christmas foods.....here in CA we usually do turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, veggies, and rolls.....sister is doing prime rib and I can't wait.

So fill free to leave what you and your family may be having and especially post if your family does something different than other parts of the Country.

We'll probably have ham, with various sides... Some casserole, man and cheese, potatoes, etc

I'll be putting one of these bad boys in the oven shortly.

Since the boys are still young I can get away with a 6 - 7 pound standing rib roast but I imagine that number will go up with their age. I usually fix it with some mashed potatoes and asparagus (or something green) as the sides.

Trying the 5 minute per pound @ 500 this year. I slightly over cooked it last year and this is supposed to be a fail proof way of doing it.

Great question. Usually lobsters bought the night before. Haven’t done that in a couple years

Usually ham and/or turkey, maybe some peas from the freezer that were put up during the late summer/early fall (usually cream-40's or zipper cream). Homemade dressing, cranberry sauce, ambrosia & probably some cornbread. And homemade pepper sauce to go with the peas & cornbread.
