Lets broaden our net of people we can accuse with no evidence.

They tested the balls with 2 different gauges so at least that part I would say should be fine. Throw in they checked the Indy balls with those pumps and those balls were found to be correct.

Everyone I've heard talk about it that would know has said 1. Any change made to the balls Brady would have to approve and 2. There's a good chance that Bellichek didn't know because he'd have no reason to know.

The only scenario I can think of is that after working with Brady many years he developed an idea of what Brady likes and just did it without asking because he's the franchise.

If no single person steps up to be the fallguy Goodell will have no choice but to make the punishment hit the whole franchise. Probably draft picks and maybe a reduction of their salary cap too. Then it will be up to Kraft to decide if he's had enough and deal with Brady and Belichick on his own.


If Brady or someone else came forward and said they did it they could face a fine and suspension but maybe save the team something worse. Doubtful that it happens now unless by some miracle the ball boy or some equipment manager comes forward and rats someone out.

I watched the presser with Brady today. Yesterday, Belicheat threw Brady under the bus and today Brady threw the equipment people under the bus. Brady's aw-shucks, I-don't-know-what-happened is right up there with some dude trying to figure how he got a girl pregnant when both of them were plastered. Very engaging and disarming.
