Behind 4-1 and getting picked off at 2nd with 2 runners on is really bad. He can't be here next year for sure.

Again, Mayberry isn't the problem. Mayberry is a bench player making league minimum.

That's partly true but he's part of the hitting problem and that pickoff means he was napping. I think it reflects the careless attitude of the team.

No, there is a reason why you are a bench player; you aren't good enough to be a starter. Rollins is part of the hitting problem. Young is part of the hitting problem. Delmon Young is part of the hitting problem. Howard is part of the hitting problem (declining skill and always injured). Utley is part of the hitting problem.

Mayberry is outperforming the $11 million shortstop. Which isn't saying much, but highlights that Mayberry isn't the problem.

The Phillies are something like 35 - 16 when they score 3 or more runs.

You make some good points. In fact JMJ is hitting .255 during this 1-13 run, not nearly as miserable at the others. But I just keep seeing him doing little with runners on (like everyone else)..

That 35-16 stat is not surprising since the starting pitchers do have 65 or so quality starts.

That stat just magnifies the point that Nitram tried so hard to convey to everyone-they need to hit more grand slams
