Ok. 1 outtta 1000
Zeke did it last year.

John Riggins did it before you were born.

Marshall Faulk, Emmitt Smith, Dickerson a couple times, just to name a few HOFers.

Barry Sanders often skipped Preseason. It's not all that rare.

Freeman also isn't those guys.

totally agree, just drawing the similarity, everyone was dead set on that last yerar. FWIW i think theres a good chance he starts week

That's quite possible Hyde gets the rock week 1. Rumor is Carson will be ready but I haven't read anything lately about his injury update and his progression.

They cant rush him..........penny isnt gonna be coming right away.

Very true. They can lean on Hyde for a few games than Carson comes back for a nice 1 2 punch and Penny will probably be back mid season the earliest.

Guy had two good years 3 years ago. He is an idiot.

First part is very true...Actually his actions are saying the opposite to your second comment.

I get your point on what he's worth...$4mil was a fair contract imo.

That said, apparently Devonta has managed his money well and can afford to walk away from the game.

To that...I say kudos. There's only a handful of guys like Frank Gore. Most RBs will get one shot at the big money, best manage well.

The FFBallers mentioned on their podcast that it was between 1 and 1.5 million with incentives.

They talk about it at around the 12:45 mark

Will anyone notice?

No.

Here's the deal.... Devonta has gotten paid and reportedly has done well with it...so he's not anxious to play.

But your skills no longer dictate anymore than you're getting offered.

Then don't play...it was short and sweet...good you have something to show for it.

IDK about that.

Not unless he comes off his number.

$4mil for a season is not bad for a vet RB that has missed quite a bit of time due to injury yet he turned that down from SEA....I don't see another team offering more.

This is a really smart idea for 28 year old RB who averaged 3.9 YPC last season and spent 2018 injured.

You're a marginal player at the most replaceable position in the sport AND historically past your prime.

He'll wind-up signing a deal for less than the one he would have gotten in Seattle. Whether that be this season or next.

Yea I thought he already was out of the league. Players are getting so greedy but with Mahomes getting his deal (rightfully so) then demands are going to skyrocket!

Is this a play on the tree falling in the forest?

I'm on board saying he's done unless he take the market offers.
