Andrei Loktionov
Age: 22
POSITION: C
SHOOTS: LEFT
DRAFTED: 2008 (5th Round)
H/W: 5-10, 180 LBS

Acquisition Fee: Devils traded a 5th round pick in the 2013 draft.

My Take: Loktionov split time with LA and Manchester last year putting up a few points along the way.

It's hard to argue with acquiring a player that young, who has shown some ability to play in the NHL. King even trusted him enough to let him play in the playoffs last season.

Trading a 5th almost seems like underpayment on our part. Sure Loktionov may not pan out, but the odds of a 5th Rd pick making it to the show are so low that I don't mind at all. The 5th almost seems totally expendable. Of course if you've been following my other posts you'll note that Reid Boucher was selected with a 4th.

Nice depth move. Can't be worse than Barch, if he plays that is.

If this was an 82 game season I would bet he'd be up with the big team before the end of it..48 games? Probably not.

Wow!!

Nice addition to the team. This kid has all kinds of skill. He was stuck in a logjam in LA. I'm surprised the Oilers didn't offer more with all of their problems at Center. The biggest problem Lokhtionov has had is staying healthy.

Hate you
This guy will be playing next year or sooner for you guys.
Right now he just needs to learn a little more and with the cap going down next year he will be a good, cheap, forward
With Kopitar, Richards, Carter, and others ahead of him in LA, he was stuck in Manchester,
Hope to play against him in the playoffs

Solid move don't know if he will pan out but we will know a lot sooner then the player being picked in the 5th round.

Def means #15 goes to the juniors. Can see this guy starting.

Zajac kingslayer jj or gionta. This guy 4th line. Move jj to a wing...hopefully he is good on face offs

JJ has been getting the shaft with his line assignments this year. He's kind of the odd man out. Hopefully Butler JJ and new guy can develop some chemistry.

X1000000000. Problem is he's not really going to bump any of the top 6, and the Super Line has been playing great together and they're getting 3rd line minutes. So where does JJ go? It's not like they don't trust him. Because he's getting a ton of PK time.

Can't dislike this move. Good deal, possible we see him this season. Injuries happen, you never know.

Don't forget we didn't see Stephen Gionta until what the last week of the season? This guy could be on the playoff roster and surprise us.

Sit Matteau.

Barch has been playing like an NHL player, he hasn't been dead weight like the other enforcers.

Most importantly, its the Flyers. Gotta have enforcers in for those games.
