Traveling in the south west in late spring provides a great opportunity to photograph a variety of desert flowers growing along the roads. I'm using a Canon Mark IV and tripod with a 180mm macro lens and shooting up to f22 for good depth of field.

Great pics...need to get my wife re-inspired with her camera.

The red rock formations in UT are just incredible to see...we played golf in far western Colo and idk which was more awe inspiring, the drive out I-70 heading west from DEN, or the red Mesa rock formations.

Yeah, the western states are awesome. There's no limit to their scenic beauty. I should move out here.
