We all thought he was brought in to see time at Nose, but according to the depth chart provided above, he's sitting there 3rd LDE....

who really knows at this point, roster spots can change frequently anyways.

It's pretty early to read much into depth charts. Teams have to release one this week by rule, if I remember correctly.

From what I've read though, Williams has been backing up RJF at the nose (with Sopoaga out with a hammy). He recently started seeing time at end as well.

They're really giving Ted Ginn a chance to make the team, starting WR going into this game, plus top KR/PR. I love him as a KR/PR, but not so much at starting WR. Hope Edwards moves into that top spot by the next game.

Edwards was nicked up a little which is probably the reason he's not starting Friday.
