Depth Chart

Well depth chart is in for the first preseason game. Some things that stood out.
#2 RB- LMJ is #2 right now.
#2 WR: Kyle williams, #3 WR Chad Hall(not a good sign)
NT- Wiliams is winning the battle.
#2 TE- Vance looks like he won this easily.
OLB back up- Cam Johnson.
Starting CB- Brown and Rogers. #2 is Asomugha
#1 FS- Spillman back up is Reid.

Have we gotten the chance to see Spillman play saftey?? I can't remember if he has gotten meaningful reps there or not. Maybe he can surprise everyone

Chad Hall was next in line only due to injuries not skill. People are so quick to think that one game in preseason is written in stone.

I remember reason the depth chart is put out by the PR team and a few coaches (assistants) - so it's not entirely correct/accurate.

I would be totally surprised if Spillman was the starting FS once the regular season starts.

They are just making Reid work to earn it.

If I'm not mistaken, I think Jenkins was/is hurt.

1st bold LMJ is #2 because Hunter is still on PUP
2nd bold Hall is #3 because he has performed pretty well in camp so far and Jenkins has been hurt. Who looked better yesterday.
3rd bold their is an open 4 way battle for FS between Reid Dahl Spillman & Robinson. Reid willl have to earn the FS spot.

Supreme- Yes a lot of this has to do with injuries but Harbaugh has said LMJ is looking really good. He even said LMJ would be a starter on some teams.

Like the idea of Reid earning the spot. I do think he will end up being the starter. They like his speed in the backfield.
