Denver Broncos QBs

At this point I think we are going only see 2 QBs return next year that are on the roster this year and they are Drew Lock and Brett Rypien. I also think we likely bring a guy to potentially push Lock. The question is who?

Free Agent Possibilities:

• Jacoby Brissett - He has show some flashes, but Colts do not seem to trust him.
• Mitchell Trubisky - He shows some flashes, but a lot of struggles too.
• Ryan Fitzpatrick - He is an older guy, but he played pretty well this year.
• Colt McCoy - He has experience in the Shurmur's offense, and lead the Giants to a surprise victory over the Seahawks.
• Nick Mullens - Not sure the 9ers let him go, but he seems to be a guy the Broncos have been linked to several times.
• Jameis Winston - He is an exciting player but which team is he going produce the big play for? New Orleans seems pretty set on Hill, so Winston probably leaves.

I am not really keen on the idea of trading for a guy, but some names that could pop up:

• Carson Wentz - A guy that has been productive at times, but injuries have taken their toll. Philly might not want to let him go, but if available he would be option. Big cap number and probably high draft pick compensation.
• Jimmy Garoppolo - Not sure the 9ers will trade him but he has been productive. Could cost a lot to bring in.

I am sure I am missing someone options in free agency or trade. The 2 guys I would go after if the Broncos want someone to push Lock would be Brissett and Fitzpatrick.

You might be thinking of Beathard. Denver had contacted SF about him two years ago when Mullens took over as the backup when Jimmy G got hurt.

Ask buffalo in 2018 or Kc in 2017 Or SF in 2017 All acquired via trade which requires something out of your direct control.
