Denver Broncos 2022 Schedule

Looks like the release date for the regular season game days will come out by May 4th. I anticipate the Broncos getting several prime time games in this upcoming season. The addition of QB Russell Wilson has garnered much buzz in the NFL community, not to mention the AFC West arms race in the off season. The Broncos are going to have some pretty great match ups this year. I saw one report that predicted that the Broncos could open on the road against the Super Bowl champion Rams. I'm excited to wrap up free agency, get through the draft and see the schedule. At that point, the countdown to the season really begins. Anyone planning to go to some of these games?

A friend of mine just secured is BIL's tickets @LV and I get one if dates work out for me. Would be psyched to see a Broncos game in Vegas. Would be great if it were the Monday night opener.

Just for something different I would like to open up against the Chiefs. Seems like I can't ever remember it happening in my life although I am sure it it has if I think hard enough.

I was thinking the same thing about the Jets. Last year we opened against the Giants... Few years back against Seattle when they were sorta declining a bit (Keenum's first game as a Bronco) opened the two previous years on MNF against the Raiders and then the Titans. Last year we played the Jets week 3 don't think the schedule makers factor that in and shift them later this year but just a random thought. (Game I was at)

On a side note. The last two Broncos games I have been at the Broncos have shut their opponent out... Year before covid beat Titans 16-0 and then last year beat the Jets 26-0... I think maybe I should schedule the Chiefs game this year.

Decided to check on this. I used Elway's rookie season as a start. Since 1983 Denver has opened against KC only 3 times; 1989,1997,and 2004. All home games.

I want to open up @ Kansas City. I'm not sure why the league has such a sick fetish for Broncos @ Chiefs late in the season. I loved that Broncos @ Chiefs TNF game back in 2015. Such a perfect outcome to a perfect game in a perfect season. I'd like an early season matchup because I believe the Broncos are more likely to go into Kansas City and upset the Chiefs early than late.

We also played the Chiefs a few years back on TNF in an ugly game. Mahomes got injured and Henne lit us up. Think we lost like 30-8 or 30-6 or something weird.

Why doesn't the NFL schedule Denver like this
6 games Div
7 games one from every division every year
4 extra games are more tricky but, do two from each div your aligned with like they do now.
This way you play different teams more often

Regardless of who we play the first week, I think it was awfully poor planning on the NFL's part with regard to the schedule in general. In their rush to install an extra game I wonder if they even considered the fact each year 1/2 the league has an advantage over the other 1/2 with regards to home games. I would be interested to see if this plays a role in how the playoff teams shake out.
