Decker Retires After Years In The NFL

Wide receiver Eric Decker announced his retirement after eight NFL seasons Sunday on Instagram.

Decker, 31, was attempting to make the New England Patriots roster but had not been impressive in camp. He played the 2017 season with the Tennessee Titans, making 54 receptions for 563 yards and one touchdown.

He gets to walk away by his own choice and not be cut and tossed aside like a bag of old lettuce.

Smart move. He knew he just can't do it anymore.

He's tall, smart and really good looking. He should look at being a color guy for network football. He'd be a lot better than half of the jamokes doing it now.

Good move on his part. Writing was on the wall that he wasn’t going to make it on the team. Sucks though. I thought he was a good signing and would definitely make the squad. Boy was I wrong. At least he has some sweet “eye candy” to go home to.
